I just got a brand new Gateway computer and it's totally up-to-date. With that being said, I downloaded the newest version of Mozilla Firefox. Yet on many websites, especially ones that provide music video codes, I get this thing that comes up at the top of the browser that says "Additional plugin's required to view this page." Ok so I click on that, and a window comes up and prompts me that nfirefox plug-ins listo additional plugins can be found. (This always happens when I'm trying to view a video on the sites that provide you with codes to put them on Myspace or other similiar site.)
What is the deal? I don't like using I.E. and I am just wondering WHICH plug in do I need to download in order to view videos. I downloaded Windows Media Player 11 and also found a list of plug-ins available for download. If firefox plug-ins listanyone can help me with this, it'd be greatly appreciated!
The most common plug-ins are Shockwave, Flash, and Quicktime. The first two can be downloaded for free at and QT is available at Install all three of those and try your websites again.
If I had to guess, I'd say that it's probably flash player doing it. Try going here and downloading the newest version:
