Hello, I've been offered to do a Masters in Biotechnology at both Johns Hopkins and Columbia and I am caught in between. I don't know which one to choose because they are both great schools at great locations. Can someone help me out here?
Great Question...If you know you want to go to medical school, I would go to Johns Hopkins. It's ranked higher than Columbia in all the medical criteria, and of course has a great reputation. John Hopkins is considered the best medical school in the world. Columbia... isnt Columbia is an ivy league school.
People who doesn't work in the medical industry will tell you to go to Columbia. but people who knows anything about the medical industry to go to johnhopkins.
I think you should pick john hopkins because your future employers knows how tough the school is.

Not that it's really relevant, but my nephew got his Ph.d. at UC San Diego. He's now working in a biotech company where he is using microelectronics to decode DNA strands in a few hours that until quite recently took hundreds of laboratories years to decode.
