Both of my flat topped brushes worked like a dream, until I washed them! Well, they still work, but hm how do I explain this. If I do a stroke on my face, it will no longer go back to the perfect circle that it was once in. The bristles stay where they are and don't 'bounce' back into shape. What did I do wrong when I washed them, and can I fix them? If so, how? I'm sure it's not the brushes faults because they have perfect reviews. and I use baby shampoo to wash them.
You have three options:
1) Buy new brushes (boo lol)
2) Buy Coastal Scents Brush guards (which are currently a perfect circle reviews30% off)
3) Home made brush guards to keep your brushes in tact (see the video)
The brush guard (#2) or toilet paper trick (#3) helps keep the brushes keep their shape. I've tried the toilet paper trick and it works fine, plus it's free lol. Either one, it reshapes your brushes so they don't flare out.
When you wash your brushes, just use warm water and a tiny bit of soap. When you dry the brush off with a towel, you're supposed to then mould the bristles back into the original shape, so it dries that way. If that's what you're already doing, and it hasn't helped, maybe you sha perfect circle reviewsould take them back to where you bought them, and ask what is wrong with them.
watch this video, it will show you how to wash your brushes perfectly

You can get really good brush cleaner from sephora. It's made for make up brushes and it doesn't ruin mine.
After you wash it, re shape it AND LET IT COMPLETELY DRY!
